Sarah's reading goals:
1. Read 80 books
At the beginning of the year I planned to read 80 books because last year I read 78. However, we are getting close to the end of February, and I am at 30 books. I'm going to continue to read with a goal of 80 books, and am hoping to knock it out of the park.
2. Read a lot of James Patterson
My grandfather goes to used bookstores and picks up a ton of James Patterson books at one time. He will then read them, and then pass them to me to read. Once I finish the books, I give them back to him so he can thrift them for credit to buy more. At this point I have a lot of unread books by James Patterson and I want to catch up!
3. Read more non-fiction
Last year I read two non-fiction books. This year so far I have read five, so I am off to a good start. I hope to keep reading non-fiction, and am open to recommendations!
4. Knock out my to-be-read (TBR)
My last goal for the year is to make a large dent in the piles of books in my house, and donate them to second hand shops. My husband is fully supportive of this goal, as he is very tired of books covering every surface in our house.
Shannon's reading goals:
1. Read 50 books
At the beginning of the year my original goal was to read 30 books this year, but considering it's near the end of February and I have already read 9 books. I decided to try and increase my goal to reading 50 books in one year. This would be an all time high for me, so I'm super excited to try.
2. Write book reviews for at least 75% of the book I read
Writing book reviews is fairly new for me. In the past I may not have written a review but I have verbally reviewed books (typically with Sarah) by just talking about what I liked and did not like. This year I hope to write the majority of my reviews so I can share them with all of you.
3. Read at least 3 non-fiction books
Non-fiction is a genre I do not typically read. So this year I really want to search for a few non-fiction books I feel would interest me and really give them a try.
