1. Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks

Rating: 5/5 stars

Synopsis: Adrienne Willis must rethink her entire life when her husband abandons her for a younger woman. Struggling with the heartache, she flees to the small coastal town of Rodanthe to tend to a friend's inn for the weekend. 8. Shadow Rider by Kathrynn Dennis

This month I was sabotaged. First, by a killer reading slump, then by my own children. So while I didn't get to do half of the reading I planned, I got to knit a bit, and spend a lot of time at the pool! Here's to next month being a bit more productive!

Rating: 5/5 stars

Synopsis: Rosa is selected to be a taste tester for Hitler, as her husband is fighting on the frontlines against him. However, she doesn't support Hitler, and now everyday she is risking her life for a cause she hates.


2. Odessa by Jonathan Hill

Rating: 3.5/5 stars

Synopsis: Eight years ago a huge earthquake hit, toppling cities and changing landscapes. That earthquake wasn't as monumental as Ginny's mom leaving, and not coming back. Now Ginny helps her dad raise her two younger brothers. Then on Ginny's seventeenth birthday a mysterious package shows up, and her life is turned upside down again.


3. When in French: Love in a Second Language by Lauren Collins

Rating: 4/5 stars

Synopsis: Lauren fell in love with a Frenchman named Olivier. Not only does she have to work with a language barrier and move to Geneva Switzerland, she has to figure out the ins and outs of a new marriage. In this book, we go on a journey with Lauren as she learns French.


4. Mercy by Jodi Picoult

Rating: 5/5 stars

Synopsis: Police Chief Cameron MacDonald is forced to make the hardest arrest of his live because his cousin Jamie confesses to killing his terminally ill wife. Now as the court trial forges ahead, Cameron and his wife Allie are at odds. Allie sees the killing as a final act of love, while Cameron is working for the prosecutors.


5. Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie

Rating: 5/5 stars

Synopsis: When the Parson declares that "anyone who murder Colonel Protheroe would be doing the world a huge favor," he never expected for Colonel Protheroe to turn up dead in his study a few hours later. Miss Marple discovers that nearly everyone in the town had motive to kill him, and works to uncover the killer.


6. Ghosters by Diana Corbitt

Rating: 4/5 stars

Synopsis: When Theresa, Joey and their dad move into their grandparents abandoned house, supernatural things start happening. With the help of Kerry, Theresa's friend, they may discover more than just ghosts.
